About the Workplace
Sörgården is located centrally in Kristinehamn and the unit has 16 places distributed over two floors. We are part of the Support, Care, and Welfare Administration in Kristinehamn Municipality. The administration's core activity is to provide nursing, care, and rehabilitation for the elderly, as well as support and services for people with disabilities.

Job Responsibilities
At Sörgården's short-term care facility, you work with individuals receiving short-term care, alternating care, or respite care according to the Social Services Act. The stay with us may vary depending on the individual's needs, but our goal is always the same: to create security, provide good nursing care, and contribute to recovery and increased independence.
The work is based on a person-centered approach where each user's resources, needs, and goals form the basis for planning and implementation of measures. You work with a rehabilitative and health-promoting approach and support the user in daily activities with a focus on preserving and strengthening the individual's own abilities.
As a nursing assistant with us, you perform nursing tasks and also work with delegated and prescribed tasks from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You are an important part of the team around the user and actively contribute to follow-up and documentation in the daily work.
The position involves working on both floors of the short-term care facility. Night shifts and resource tours are included in the job.
Qualifications
Formal Competencies:
- Nursing Assistant education (Undersköterskeutbildning)
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Experience working as a nursing assistant (merit)
- Class B driver's license (merit)
Personal Competencies:
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and has a genuine commitment to providing good treatment and contributing to a secure and positive daily life for our users. You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks by planning and prioritizing in a structured way. At the same time, you are flexible and easily adapt when conditions change, which is an important part of working at a short-term care facility.
You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with others to achieve common goals. You are also proactive and see what needs to be done, while being clear in your communication and contributing to a secure and professional work climate. We value that you are rule-aware, follow routines and guidelines, and contribute to safe and high-quality care and welfare.
