Bromma City District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts.

Bromma is located close to central Stockholm and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature. The elderly care applies full-time as the norm with the possibility to work part-time. Your primary workplace is at the unit, but the employment means that you will work at various locations throughout the Mälarbacken care and nursing home area.

Mälarbacken is a care and nursing home for the elderly over 65 years. At Mälarbacken, 282 people live with various focuses including dementia, somatic, psychiatric profile housing, as well as short-term and respite care. Mälarbacken is an academic node, which means we receive students for practical training and collaborate with colleges/universities and the Elderly Administration. Mälarbacken is located in a scenic area and is easily accessible by car, bus, or subway.

You will work at the largest elderly home in the Nordic region focused on dementia diagnosis, somatic departments, and short-term and respite care, as well as elderly with mental diagnoses. Each unit consists of 25-26 residents. You will work alongside experienced nurses and rehabilitation staff. Everyone in the department works based on person-centered care. We strive to work with our hearts and provide good encounters.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service efforts to the elderly according to decisions made by the assistance officer. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with the care recipients' social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering the elderly opportunities for outdoor activities. You will also maintain contact with relatives, participate in care planning and social documentation. You must also follow the routines and regulations that exist at the workplace.

Your qualifications and experience

You must have a protected professional title as a nursing assistant.

You should have worked in care and nursing for at least 1-3 years. You should be familiar with documentation.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references. We need you to be secure, stress-resistant, and possess personal maturity. You should also be service-oriented and attentive to the needs of care recipients. You value diversity and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in various ways. You have good collaboration skills and are willing to share your knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others. You have empathy in your interactions with others and have a genuine interest in working in the profession. You are expected to be flexible, as the job requires it.
