Sten & Vägarbeten is one of Värmland's largest earthworks and construction companies, with roots dating back to the late 1950s and currently operating since 1971. With around 50 employees, we carry out larger earthworks for municipalities and authorities according to LOU, as well as assignments for private actors.

The business is organized into several specialized departments for fencing, larger contracts, and smaller ongoing earthworks projects, which gives us broad expertise and makes us a complete and reliable partner in earthworks and construction.

We are now looking for a construction worker focused on natural stone to join our operations in Karlstad.

About the job

We are a team of about 60 employees, including 10 office staff and 50 skilled workers. Our natural stone group currently consists of 6 dedicated employees. We have many exciting projects underway and now need to strengthen our team with someone who has an interest and experience in working with natural stone.

With us, you will be part of a great team where engagement and quality are in focus. We work on both small and large projects within natural stone work and landscaping. Our projects are mainly located around Karlstad, but also in other parts of Värmland and neighboring counties. The projects vary in scope and type, providing you with a varied and developing workday.

About the role

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, engaged, and structured in their work. You enjoy working in a team but can also take responsibility and drive the work forward. You appreciate variation and have an eye for detail, which is essential in natural stone work. As part of our natural stone team, you play a crucial role in creating sustainable and aesthetic solutions in our projects.

Your tasks

As a construction worker in natural stone work, your tasks will include:

• Natural stone work: Dry stone walls, stairs, curbs, and cobblestone paving.
• If necessary, you will also perform paving with concrete stones and slabs, establishment of green areas, and other types of construction projects.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in earthworks and construction.
• Meticulous, structured, and contributes to order and tidiness on the worksite.
• Enjoys working both independently and in a team.
• Solution-oriented and enjoys challenges as well as varied tasks.

Requirements:

• Valid B driver's license.

Meritorious

• Experience in working with natural stone and other types of earthworks.
