Sten & Vägarbeten is one of Värmland's largest earthworks and construction companies, with roots dating back to the late 1950s and currently operating since 1971. With approximately 50 employees, we carry out larger earthworks contracts for municipalities and authorities according to LOU, as well as assignments for private actors.

The business is organized into several specialized departments for fencing, larger contracts, and smaller ongoing earthworks projects, which gives us broad expertise and makes us a complete and reliable partner in earthworks and construction.

We are now looking for Earthworks and Construction Workers to join our operations in Karlstad at Sten & Vägarbeten AB.

We are a team of about 60 employees, of which 10 are office staff and 50 are skilled workers. We have many exciting projects underway and now need to strengthen our team with several new colleagues.

With us, you will be part of a great group of engaged and driven colleagues. We work as a team on our projects where commitment and participation are important, and everyone's expertise contributes to our common goals and successful projects. We primarily operate in the local market around Karlstad, but also in and outside Värmland County, often in smaller projects with relatively short construction times.

About the role

We are looking for someone who is responsible, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You have a safety mindset in your work and understand the importance of following routines in an industry with high safety requirements. You enjoy working in a team but also have the ability to take responsibility and drive the work forward. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and appreciate a varied job.

Your tasks

As an earthworks and construction worker, you have a broad work area with varying tasks, which may include:

• Preparatory earthworks
• Stone and tile laying
• Water and sewage works
• Foundation and pipe laying
• Setting out and measuring
• Fine planning and landscaping
• Infrastructure work, such as road construction and utility networks

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in earthworks and construction
• Vocational certificate in earthworks and construction is an advantage
• Experience in pipe laying is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B is a requirement
