Exercise and Shooting Range Department
The Exercise and Shooting Range Department at the Bergslagen Artillery Regiment consists of two shooting ranges with associated personnel. Today, the department consists of 11 employees and is now ready to welcome an additional craftsman to the department.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan, coordinate, and carry out activities within field and training operations. You will be an important part of the workgroup and collaborate closely with colleagues to solve tasks and drive development forward. The work also involves collaboration with other shooting ranges on various issues.
Examples of tasks:
- Manufacturing/repairing all types of target surfaces
- Ordering and following up on repairs of all types of target systems
- Ensuring that necessary materials are available, as well as issuing and signing for them
- Supervision, inspection, and maintenance of training and target areas as well as training facilities
- Care and maintenance of the unit's vehicle fleet
We are in strong growth and the tasks may vary and develop over time.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved high school education, preferably with a focus on construction, vehicles, or technology
- Several years of relevant work experience in construction and/or civil engineering
- Driving license class B, C

MERITORIOUS
- Documented training on relevant work machines (wheel loader, excavator, forklift, chainsaw, brush cutter, etc.)
- Experience with woodworking machines (construction, band, and miter saws as well as planers)
- Good skills in the Office suite
- Completed military service or basic military training (GMU)
- Military instructor training
- Driving license class CE
Other
- The position is a civilian position, permanent employment (100%). The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority
- Work location Kristinehamn. Training for at least 18 months will be conducted at the Horssjön shooting range north of Karlstad
- The work may involve domestic travel and sometimes overnight stays. Working conditions usually involve a 40-hour work week, but may sometimes occur at irregular hours, e.g., during training conditions
- Individual salary setting applies
- Start date for the position according to agreement
