We are now looking for a civil engineer in road and water management for the Community Building Department. We offer a broad and varied role where you will work on issues related to roads, water, and sewage – from planning and investigation to project implementation.

The position is a one-year temporary position with the possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and manage smaller investment and development projects within road and water management
• Participate in the design of roads, water pipelines, and stormwater solutions
• Work on the development and renewal of the municipality's water pipeline network
• Contribute to road development, traffic engineering issues, and minor renovations
• Participate in the work with detailed plans and land development from a technical perspective
• Manage new connections to municipal water and sewage
• Prepare decision-making documents, cost estimates, and technical statements
• Coordinate projects together with contractors and other stakeholders
• Contact residents and businesses regarding issues related to roads, water, and technical infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant higher education or university degree in civil engineering, road and water management, or similar, or equivalent experience
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Driving license B

Experience in municipal operations, project management, or design in road or water management is an advantage.

Knowledge of GIS or other digital mapping and information systems is an advantage.

The content of the position can be adjusted to some extent based on your experience and competence.
