Sten & Vägarbeten AB is one of Värmland's largest earthworks and construction companies with extensive experience in both smaller service assignments and larger general contracts. The company was founded in 1957 and is today a stable and well-respected company with about 50 employees.

Job responsibilities

As a cost engineer, you will work closely with cost colleagues, project managers, and site managers. You will be responsible for preparing bid calculations and budgets for earthworks and construction projects, as well as handling quotes and bids.
You will also be involved in the production process, supporting with planning, purchasing, and contract administration. Monitoring outstanding bids and working with market surveillance is also part of the role.
Calculations are done in BidCon, so experience with the system is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree in construction/earthworks from a university or equivalent work experience.
• Has a few years of experience in the construction, earthworks, or civil engineering industry, for example as a designer, construction engineer, measurement technician, site manager, or project manager.
• Is technically interested, structured, and has good problem-solving skills.
• Enjoys working both independently and in close collaboration with others.
• Has a valid driver's license (B).
• Has excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience with BidCon is an advantage but not a requirement.
