Care Assistant for Palliative Department

We are now looking for a care assistant who wants to work in the palliative department.

About the Job

Working with us is challenging and varied, sometimes heavy but incredibly meaningful and rewarding.

Everyone has an important role where we make a difference every day. The team around the patient includes doctors, nurses, care assistants, dietitians, social workers, and occupational or physiotherapists.

As a care assistant in our department, you will care for patients with palliative care needs. We work with a person-centered approach, focusing on what is important for the patient and their relatives. In addition, you will also perform regular care assistant tasks.

We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has worked for a few years in the profession and feels secure and confident in their role. Experience with severely ill/palliative patients is an advantage. You should have a pedagogical approach, be able to make independent decisions, and be comfortable working individually while also enjoying working in interdisciplinary teams. You are not afraid of difficult conversations, have the courage and strength to care for severely ill patients as well as support relatives. You see it as given to provide individualized and tailored care to both the patient and their relatives.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other Information

As of July 1, 2023, the title of care assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of care assistant within healthcare and social services.
