Support Assistant at Dammgatan 23 or Melodivägen 1

Then you could be our new support assistant at Dammgatan 23 or Melodivägen 1. In this role, you will be part of a group home where daily life is shaped together with the residents, and where your stability, engagement, and collaboration make a difference every day.

YOUR ROLE

As a support assistant, you will work to support and help individuals based on their individual needs, wishes, and conditions. The work is based on implementation plans and is carried out with a professional approach and a low-arousal attitude.

You will meet individuals who need security and structure, and contribute to creating a predictable and functioning everyday life. The work includes personal care, activities, support in daily household tasks, and documentation. Medication delegation is part of the assignment, and the work also involves collaboration with relatives, guardians, and other professionals.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a high school education in health and care or the child and leisure program, or alternatively another education deemed equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, can document, and feel comfortable working in digital systems. A passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 is a requirement. The work involves personal care and transfers, which means you need to have good physical ability.

You have knowledge of and understanding of disabilities, especially autism and intellectual disabilities, and experience in care work is an advantage. In this role, it is crucial that you are stable and can handle stress constructively, maintain calm even when situations are demanding, and stand firm in your professional role.

The role is based on being relationship-building, taking initiative in meetings with others, and at the same time showing consideration by listening and meeting people with respect. Since support is provided in close collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and other actors, you need to be cooperative and work selflessly with a focus on common solutions and the individual's best interests.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Melodivägen 1 is a group home with five residents and a staff group of seven employees. Here, both younger and older individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism live. The work is varied and includes care, responsibility for the shared home, and creating an active and meaningful everyday life together with the residents. With us, you will have the opportunity to be involved and take initiative in planning and implementing activities.

The work is scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and awake nights.

Dammgatan 23 is a group home with five places and a stable staff group with extensive experience. Here, primarily older individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism live. The operation is characterized by continuity and a calm working method where relationships and collaboration are important parts of everyday life. You will work closely with the residents in their home environment and contribute to security, participation, and a functioning everyday life.

The work is scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.
