The Individual and Family Care Services in Nordmaling Municipality consists of 35 employees and has been responsible for operations in Bjurholm Municipality since January 2024. The operations are divided into five areas (VO): Children, Youth & Family, Adults, Open Care, Support & Care, and Management & Support.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a social worker in open care and in the school social team, you will work both independently and in a team to achieve set goals. The work is based on a strength-based approach where you strive to release individual and group resources. You also actively work to ensure that those we meet are as involved as possible - based on respect for individual integrity and the right to self-determination. In your work, you will have close support from team leaders and colleagues.

With us, you will, among other things:

• Work with treatment interventions for children, youth, and families
• Be part of our school social team in collaboration with the school
• Collaborate with various actors regarding the situation of children and youth
• Contribute to the development of our working methods and approaches
• Participate in teamwork and method development

The open care collaborates and has good partnerships with other actors in the local area. Not least with the school where open care has representatives in the school social team (SST), HLT preschool, and HLT school (Health, Learning, Safety). At the family center in Nordmaling, open care is an important part of the overall operation. Within open care, we are also responsible for conducting the parent education ABC (All Children in Focus) as well as offering advice & support conversations and collaboration discussions.

Your Profile

The requirements we have for you to work as a social worker within Open Care and in the School Social Team are that you have a degree in social work and have previous experience of work relevant to our area of operations.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Meriting for the position are:

• Training in evidence-based treatment methods
• Experience in school social work
• Experience in collaboration between social services and schools
• Knowledge and experience in conducting support group activities for children
• Knowledge and experience in psychosocial treatment work
• Knowledge and experience in performing family-oriented interventions
• Knowledge and experience of strength-based approaches and methods
• Knowledge and experience of working with domestic violence

Personal qualities/abilities that are important to succeed in the role are that;

• you are self-driven by taking responsibility for your assignment and working goal-oriented. You make a plan and work structured and actively to progress in your processes.

The Employment

We in open care primarily work Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the possibility of flexibility. Evening work currently occurs scheduled every other Thursday. The schedule may be adjusted based on client needs, which will be done in consultation with management.

A police record extract is required before employment.
