Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions.

We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

Welcome to a workgroup where experience and joy at work go hand in hand! We are now looking for two colleagues for our unit, as two of our employees are going on parental leave, one from the reception and one from social psychiatry.

The area consists of a total of 47 assistance officers and LSS officers. We are divided into three units: LSS children, LSS adults, and social psychiatry, where the area is led by an area manager and each unit has a unit manager and group leader. The reception group currently consists of three competent colleagues who support and manage cases for the unit. Social psychiatry currently consists of 15 officers, and the daily work is led by a group leader. Your immediate manager is the unit manager for social psychiatry. Are you ready for the next step and want to work in a district and unit that cares for its employees and wants to make a difference for its residents? Then submit your application!

We offer

With us, you will have an important and meaningful assignment where you meet individuals with different types of needs who apply for support in their daily lives. We have a high level of satisfaction and a work environment that we care about.

As a newcomer with us, you will receive an introduction with an introduction plan that is followed up and evaluated. We tailor the introduction based on previous experience in the profession and provide you with close supervision and support tailored to your needs and circumstances. We also offer you a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year, the possibility of vacation exchange, flexible working hours with winter and summer working hours. Some remote work occurs when the job allows it.

Your role

Some of the most important tasks of the reception are to make eligibility assessments, receive applications, attend various meetings/home visits, and refer people correctly.

You will have daily tasks such as:

  • Make eligibility assessments for the entire unit
  • Register incoming cases/applications
  • Process applications according to SoL and LSS (participate in SIP, request documentation, simpler investigations)
  • Monitor LifecareSP and Lifecare before discharges.
  • Pre-assess according to SoL and LSS (decide not to initiate an investigation).

Working in the reception group means being the spider in the web and an ambassador for the unit and social services, providing respectful and good treatment to those you come in contact with.

Some of the most common tasks as an assistance officer within social psychiatry are:

  • Investigate and make decisions within the Social Services Act and LSS
  • Follow up on decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners.

Our employees and managers have a strong drive to find new ways and methods in their work. As an employee with us, you can make a difference by contributing your ideas, engagement, and courage.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you with:

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Knowledge of the legislation, LSS and the Social Services Act.
  • Previous experience in public authority, such as LSS officer or assistance assessor.
  • Experience from the target group, LSS children/adults, as well as social psychiatry.
  • Knowledge of data systems, such as: Paraplyet, LIFECARE, WORD, and Excel

Personal qualities:

We want you as an officer to be professional (Act professionally both in terms of profession and role, secure, stable, and self-aware). Be self-sufficient (Take responsibility for your work. Structure and independently drive tasks forward).

You should be stable (Calm, stable, and controlled in pressured situations) and also meticulous (Ability to see details). Since a large part of the work consists of documentation, record-keeping, and administration, you need to have a very good ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.

Other

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at considering each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
