Are you ready for the future? We are – and now we are looking for you!
The Department of Work and Welfare is restructuring its organization and working methods to better meet the needs of our citizens. As part of this transition, we are now seeking a social worker who is passionate about working with adults suffering from harmful use and dependency.
We offer you a client-centered and varied job. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role as a social worker!
We are developing our organization to meet future needs and create even better conditions for our citizens. From April 2026, we will work in a new organization – focusing on a modern, sustainable, and legally secure welfare system.
Are you driven, curious, and want to contribute to meaningful work? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Your role with us
You will be responsible for processing and documentation according to the Social Services Act and LVM, and you will be in charge of investigation work, assessment, planning, and follow-up of client work throughout the treatment process. Our target group is individuals over 24 years old with harmful use and dependency, often in combination with mental health issues. You will have contact with both the individual and relevant persons within their social network as well as other authorities. In this role, you will make individual assessments, collaborate internally and externally, and work together with management and colleagues to develop the operations in various ways. You will be responsible, based on delegation, for legally secure processing and decisions in individual cases as well as ensuring that established routines are followed. Our approach is to keep the citizen's needs at the center.
Who are we looking for?
You who are applying have a degree in social work. Experience in public authority operations, preferably within social services' dependency care, is considered an advantage. ASI training or other continuing education in dependency is also meritorious.
Since communication and documentation are part of the job, you need to have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and you handle IT tools as a natural part of your work. A driver's license (B) is required to easily get around our municipality when needed.
We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves, structured, flexible, creative, and courageous. Collaboration is a given for you, both internally and externally. You enjoy taking responsibility and initiative and can handle difficult acute situations. Furthermore, you need to be able to work both independently and together with colleagues and partners.
