JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social pedagogue at the group home, you will work according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) with the goal of creating good living conditions, participation, and independence for people with disabilities. The work should be characterized by a salutogenic, low-arousal, and pedagogical approach.

In this position, you may encounter situations where threatening behavior or violence occurs. It is therefore important that you feel secure in handling such situations in a professional and calm manner.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide individually tailored support in daily life.
• Work with clarifying pedagogy and alternative communication methods.
• Strengthen users' independence and participation in society.
• Prevent and manage challenging behaviors through low-arousal responses.
• Establish, follow up, and revise implementation plans.
• Document according to applicable legislation and the organization's guidelines.
• Participate in follow-ups and quality work.
• Collaborate with relatives, guardians, and external actors.

The support pedagogue serves as a pedagogical support in the workgroup and has a special responsibility to keep the pedagogical perspective alive in the operations.

The social pedagogue has a holistic perspective on the individual's social situation and actively works to strengthen independence and participation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to be an educated social pedagogue. We prefer that you have experience with low-arousal responses, NPF, EIPS, self-harm behavior, and communication support.

We are looking for someone who can maintain focus and make decisions under pressure, and who can meet individuals with respect even in challenging situations. Experience working in environments where threats and violence occur is an advantage.

You have a good reception, are responsible, easily collaborate, and are flexible in your work. You are a team player who values collaboration and open dialogue. In new, composite groups, you stand firm, contribute calmness and clarity, and help build a safe and positive work environment. It is important to be able to work both independently and in a group, to follow routines, decisions, and action plans with the users' best interests in focus.

Since documentation is part of the job, you need good communication skills, computer proficiency, and you should master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
