Job Description

Department Central School Support

Within Upplands-Bro Municipality's Central School Support department, there are four units; Resource Unit, Adapted School, Mother Tongue and Newly Arrived Unit, and Administration and Investigation Unit.

The Administration and Investigation Unit consists of 11 people who investigate, ensure, and manage the principal's systematic quality work together with department heads and school management. The unit works with system management, local coordination, and administrative tasks. The work is led by the head of the Central School Support department. Central School Support is now seeking an investigator who will work with assignments related to preschool and school. The role will also include certain administrative tasks.

As an investigator, you will work with a wide range of issues within the educational office's principal assignment to ensure that the operations receive the support they need. The role includes handling statements to other authorities, preparing and administering appeals, and performing other processing related to the municipality's responsibilities as a principal and home municipality. The work primarily targets the education committee, but the department also reports to the upper secondary and labor market committee. Part of the assignment also involves ensuring the municipality's supervisory responsibility towards independent preschools and pedagogical care. You will also contribute to the municipality's work in developing appropriate and effective processes for investigation, analysis, planning, and follow-up. The role also includes producing statistics and providing support to department heads and school management in their quality work, for example, by assisting with materials, surveys, and follow-ups within preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, and adult education. The work also involves close collaboration with colleagues within the educational office and continuous dialogue with the department head regarding substantive issues and the systematic quality work.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant university degree in the field of education, law, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Has previously worked with qualified administrative work.
• Has knowledge of current legislation and regulations concerning municipal operations.
• Has excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to express oneself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Has very good IT skills. Good knowledge of the Office suite and the ability to familiarize oneself with new systems and programs.

Experience from educational offices/administrations, municipal operations, other politically governed operations, or large and complex private organizations is an advantage.
