Part-time Financial Administrators

In Södertälje municipality, we have gathered all resources and expertise for accounting and financial administration in a central unit called Accounting & Financial Support. Our task is to provide service to the entire municipal organization. Our focus is to deliver the best service to the citizens of Södertälje. We work across the entire accounting field, from qualified analyses and financial statements to system support and financial administrative routines. We are responsible for accounting and the municipality's overall payment processes, as well as e-commerce & ERP financial systems.
We are looking for you who are studying economics and want to come in a few hours a week to help and relieve us in our work.
We are looking for individuals who can assist in our workflows by registering supplier invoices and getting them to our review approvers for further handling, as well as managing administrative tasks on the customer side. Furthermore, they will handle incoming mail and our support mailboxes.
 

Who are you?

We prefer candidates who are economics students in accounting and are curious and eager to learn how things work in a larger accounting unit. Being flexible and able to help where needed, and having a quick learning ability are prerequisites. Since we work at a fast pace and with deadlines, it is beneficial to be stress-resistant.

Personal qualities:

Requirements:
- You should be studying economics, preferably with a focus on accounting
- You should be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
- You should be familiar with Excel

Meritorious:
- You have worked in a larger financial system, preferably ERP (formerly Agresso)
- You have a few years of work experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable
- You have an interest in IT

Accounting and Financial Support currently consists of 26 employees with various competencies. We are a support function that provides system support and expertise to all municipal operations. We are centrally located in modern premises in Södertälje City Hall with good transport links and close to the commuter train station and buses in Södertälje center.
The offered position is a temporary hourly employment for two months with the possibility of extension, a so-called Student Agreement which entails a maximum of 15 hours of work per week during school terms, allowing work and studies to be combined effectively. We can offer an hourly wage including vacation pay.

The work is performed on-site at Södertälje City Hall.
