Do you want to contribute to making digital services and tools accessible to more people? We are looking for a specialist in digital accessibility for the IT department's unit Digital Services, within the area of Digital Customer Interaction, which is responsible for the development and management of digital services for the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's customers. We work insight- and design-driven, focusing on increasing service for our customers and meeting the Agency's goals with digitalization.
Specialist in Digital Accessibility
As a specialist in digital accessibility, you work closely with and support our accessibility strategist, who has the overall responsibility for direction, priorities, and coordination within digital accessibility and inclusive design.
You will work operationally by conducting accessibility reviews, supporting purchasers and clients in setting and interpreting requirements for digital accessibility according to the DOS law and EN 301 549, and helping our teams understand and address accessibility deficiencies.
Your main tasks include:
- Being a support to development teams and others by providing advice and training on how to test with screen readers and other tools. We have a particular need to enhance accessibility work for our internal systems.
- Conducting accessibility reviews of digital solutions, documenting deviations, and suggesting concrete measures.
- Supporting procurement and purchases by assisting with procurement documents for digital accessibility and evaluating suppliers' bids based on the requirements set by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency for digital accessibility.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness if you are to work with us.

We are looking for someone who
- has a university degree or equivalent experience and qualifications.
- has a very good practical understanding and experience of digital accessibility for websites, apps, and other digital interfaces such as case management systems and documents, as well as standards like WCAG, EN 301 549, and general guidelines for cognitive accessibility (ISO 21801-1:2020).
- has at least three years of current experience in conducting accessibility reviews of digital solutions and documents and translating the results into concrete action proposals for operations and development.
- has experience using or testing with assistive technologies, such as magnifying tools, keyboard navigation, or screen readers like NVDA, Jaws, Talkback, or VoiceOver.
- understands how technology, design, and content interact to create good accessibility.
- has a basic understanding of HTML and CSS and an understanding of how WAI-ARIA is used.
- has the ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals.
- has very good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and good skills in English.
It is an advantage if you
- have experience working with digital accessibility in a larger organization or authority, where legal requirements and compliance are a natural part of everyday life.
- have experience with digital accessibility in internal systems, such as case management systems.
- are certified as CPACC or WAS.

A permanent, full-time position, starting according to agreement. A probationary period may be applicable.
