Your role as Scrum Master/Team Lead

As a Scrum Master or Team Lead, you will lead and coach cross-functional software teams on assignments with our clients in the defense industry and related areas. You create conditions for high delivery quality and sustainable team dynamics while ensuring transparency, pace, and focus on the right value. In this role, you facilitate agile work through planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives. In close collaboration with the Product Owner, architects, and other stakeholders, you prioritize and plan the work to create a stable flow from idea to delivery.

Through coaching, continuous feedback, and systematic improvement work, you build high-performing teams and develop working methods. The methodology is adapted to the needs of the assignment, where agile frameworks are combined with more traditional project methods when necessary. If needed, you take technical delivery responsibility and use your background in back-end programming, such as Java, C/C++, or C#, to understand the architecture of systems and make well-founded decisions.

The assignments vary; you often work closely with the client, sometimes in our in-house projects or at Combitech's office in Alvik, and regardless of the context, you operate in an environment characterized by trust, structure, and clear communication, with ample opportunity to influence both results and working methods.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a relevant engineering degree and several years of experience in software development as a developer combined with a Scrum Master, Team Lead, or similar leadership role. You should have experience with both agile and traditional project methods and also have a background and competence in back-end programming such as Java, C, C++, or C#. It is advantageous if you have experience working as a consultant and possess strong organizational and analytical skills.

To succeed in these roles, you should have a strong interest in leading and coordinating people. It is important that you have the ability to independently prioritize and drive issues forward in your daily work, as well as a good ability to communicate with various individuals in the technical field. You are used to working in a structured and communicative manner with your project group. You also thrive in a dynamic environment where you may handle multiple parallel projects while being attentive and humble to the client's needs. Building good relationships and seeking information and new contacts within an organization is a natural part of the project manager role.

As the position involves work subject to defense secrecy, you will need to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
