The Authority for Harmful Use and Dependence is a dynamic unit that works closely with our partners to meet clients' needs for support according to the Social Services Act and/or LVM. A large part of our daily work involves meeting and guiding people who are in the most difficult stages of life. We work rehabilitatively with the goal of freeing and developing each individual's unique resources. We are committed to strengthening what works for our clients and strive for our approach to be perceived as inclusive and accessible.

One of our social workers is on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a new social worker who wants to contribute to the development of the future social services. 
 

Your responsibilities

Social workers investigate, decide, and follow up on care and treatment measures for individuals over 20 years old with harmful use or dependency issues related to alcohol, drugs, and gambling according to the Social Services Act and/or the Care of Abusers Act in certain cases. Our unit is divided into a reception group and an execution group, and we are now looking for an engaged colleague for the execution group.

Who are you?

Requirements:
- You have a degree in social work or education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- You have experience in public authority work within social services, particularly in harmful use and dependence.
- You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as we work with public authority matters.
- You have good documentation skills and work in a structured manner. You enjoy investigative work and find it as important as meeting with the individual. 
- You have experience in handling cases according to LVM legislation.
- You take responsibility for your planning and tasks.

Meritorious:
- Experience with the operational system Combine. 
- Work experience in social work. 
- Previous internship/student employment within social services. 
- You have experience with methods such as ASI, UBÅT, SIP, and MI. 

Personal qualities:
- You are responsible, have good judgment, and are quality-conscious.
- You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a structured and methodical way.  
- You are curious and it is obvious to you that methods/interventions need to be developed, and you want to contribute to that work. You enjoy change and want to contribute to innovative thinking. 
- You are an empathetic person who understands the importance of listening and including others.
- You are professional in your role by showing respect for your assignment and working according to Södertälje Municipality's values.

We offer you

Our work group consists of a unit manager, a group leader, nine social workers, an administrator, and a team working with comorbidity. Together, we work to ensure that our clients receive good support. We are a safe workplace where we are committed to continuously developing our work. We have a drive for the target group, and for us, it is natural to be inclusive, flexible, and motivating towards each other as well as for our clients.
As a new employee, you will receive an introduction to the workplace and a mentor, as well as a joint introduction program for new employees within adults. The unit applies annual working hours. There is an opportunity to work remotely a few days a week when the business allows. We are centrally located in Södertälje, where we share premises with outpatient care and the domestic violence center.
