The Social Services Area for Children and Youth consists of several units for investigation and follow-up, foster care, and internal support with administrative and coordinating functions.

Your role
As a placement coordinator, you have a central function in ensuring the quality of our purchased care for placed children and youth. You work proactively with development, identify areas for improvement, and prepare decision-making materials. If necessary, you can also initiate and drive cases further, for example, in cases of suspected financial irregularities or misconduct.
Your responsibilities include:
- Establishing, following up, and ensuring the quality of contracts for purchased care
- Coordinating, reporting back, and participating in or leading projects, including those related to welfare crime, contracts, and procurement
- Actively working to counteract undue influence and unscrupulous actors
- Managing complaints and reporting deviations related to placements
- Collaborating closely with social workers, external providers, and other functions within the city
- Working with administrative staff on invoicing and other administrative processes
- Compiling statistics regularly and for operational reporting
This is a new role with us, where you will be involved in developing the work by creating structures, testing new ways of working, and continuously driving improvements.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree as a social worker or other relevant higher education, or documented experience in social work with children and youth
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Good IT skills and experience working in multiple systems.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Knowledge of placement processes according to SoL and LVU
- Knowledge of procurement and contracts
- Experience working within the City of Stockholm or other public administration
- Experience with the operational system Paraplyet
- Good knowledge of Excel
We place great emphasis on the following personal competencies: To succeed in the role, you are development-oriented and driven by identifying and implementing improvements. You are self-sufficient and take responsibility for coordinating and driving the work forward. The role also requires good collaboration skills as you will have close and ongoing contact with several functions within the city while being communicative and clear, with the ability to build trust in dialogue with both colleagues and external actors.
