Do you want to work closely with advanced technology and contribute to the development of complex, high-tech products? As a technical writer at Saab Dynamics, you will be part of a professional team responsible for producing clear and structured technical information. You will work on long-term projects with high technical complexity, where your texts become an important part of how our products are used, understood, and maintained – both in Sweden and internationally.

You will be part of a group of about 10 people with varying levels of experience, from recent graduates to very senior colleagues. The team is characterized by openness, a lack of prestige, and a willingness to help each other. The work primarily takes place within two larger projects that include both export products and development for Swedish customers.
As a technical writer, you will work with the entire chain of technical information: planning, information gathering, structuring, writing, editing, and producing material for illustrations. You will describe complex technical systems in a clear, accurate, and pedagogical manner, often in close collaboration with engineers and other specialists. The work is done in XML-based tools, primarily UpTime4, and follows standards for technical writing.

You find it easy to collaborate, take responsibility for your tasks, and ensure that the work maintains high quality without getting bogged down in unnecessary details.
We are looking for someone who has...

• A university degree, preferably with a technical or communication focus.
• 1–2 years of experience in technical writing or similar work (e.g., technical information, documentation, journalism, or communication with a technical focus).
• Swedish and English proficiency in both spoken and written forms.
• An interest in technology and the ability to understand technical systems.
• Experience working with processes, routines, and methods related to the production of publications – either as a technical writer or in roles where you have structured and communicated complex information.
• The ability to work in XML-based environments or a willingness to quickly learn this.

• Experience with UpTime or other XML-based content management systems.
• Knowledge of S1000D or similar standards for information architecture.
• Experience in translation work.
• A background in the technical industry or defense sector.
• Experience working with technical illustrations or producing materials for them.
