Norrköping Symphony Orchestra is seeking a section leader for 2nd violin with a trial period as agreed.

Solo Works

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, movement 1 with cadenza or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, movement 1 with cadenza and one of the following concertos:

Ludwig van Beethoven Violin Concerto, movement 1 with cadenza

Johannes Brahms Violin Concerto, movement 1 with cadenza

Pyotr Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, movement 1 with cadenza

Jean Sibelius Violin Concerto, movement 1 with (composer's own) cadenza

Orchestral Excerpts

Orchestral excerpts will be sent out approximately one month before the audition.

The audition will also include an ensemble test.

Audition

The audition will take place on May 29-30, 2026 at De Geerhallen, Norrköping.

The audition will occur simultaneously with the audition for the position of second concertmaster.

A pianist will be present.
