Job Description

As an information architect with us, you will work with information management and governance, primarily in the form of information mapping and modeling. Depending on your skills and interests, you will be able to work with, for example, the development of Region Östergötland's master data management, implementation of information governance in the organization, developing methodologies for information management, and establishing capabilities related to the area. You will also be a colleague who supports operations with information mapping, which is requested from many quarters.

You will work closely with other architects, primarily information architects and business architects, as well as informatics professionals, development leaders, and business representatives. You will work in teams across IT, core operations, and other support functions, where collaboration and quality are key principles.

Through your innovative thinking and responsiveness, you see what the organization needs and not just what is requested. Your knowledge and exploratory approach contribute to our journey towards becoming an even more information-driven organization.

Work Group

The operational area of Information-Driven Development consists of about 80 employees with a primary focus on driving and supporting the region's work on information management, monitoring and analysis, production development, and digitization in healthcare operations. The operational area is divided into two units, and this position is located in the Data and Analysis Unit.

You will work in a team with business architects, other information architects, and health informatics professionals in an expansive phase, where your experience and specialist competence will be an asset.

The assignment is based in Linköping, but there is an opportunity for remote work.

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant education in information architecture, for example through university education or certification in information architecture, or equivalent acquired competence.

You have:

  • solid experience working with information architecture and information management
  • good knowledge of models for information governance such as DAMA-DMBOK
  • good skills in modeling tools and notations (primarily UML, BPMN, and Archimate)
  • good knowledge of modeling methodology, especially for concept and information modeling

We base our expectations on IASA Sweden's description of the role of information architect. Read more here. (https://www.iasa.se/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Iasa-Sweden-Arkitektroller-2025.pdf)

It is advantageous if you have:

  • worked with information architecture in complex organizations, such as government agencies or larger organizations, preferably within healthcare
  • experience implementing master data management in a larger organization
  • experience implementing information governance in a larger organization according to, for example, DAMA-DMBOK
  • experience working with international informatics standards such as openEHR, Snomed CT, FHIR, and OMOP

For this position, we are looking for someone who is persistent and goal- and results-oriented, and who can drive the work forward even when changes bring new conditions. With your collaborative skills and pedagogical insight, you engage others, create understanding, and make it easier for the organization to adopt new working methods.

You have a leadership style that fosters participation and engagement while maintaining a clear overall perspective and making decisions based on the best interests of the organization. Your creativity and specialist knowledge in information architecture allow you to both identify new solutions and implement them in practice – something that is crucial in our change work.
