What does Scenkonst Öst offer you?
Ung scen öst is an independent part of Östgötateatern, which together with Östgötamusiken and Norrköping Symphony Orchestra forms Scenkonst Öst. The company was founded in 2016 and creates performing arts with both breadth and depth, serving everyone in Östergötland. What does the role entail?
As a technical coordinator at Ung Scen Öst, you will have supervisory responsibility for the technical operations and are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on production technical work. You lead the daily work within your area of responsibility and ensure that the technical operations are conducted professionally and safely, in accordance with applicable regulations and the mission of Ung Scen Öst.
The role includes production technical coordination in pre-production, with responsibility for planning, resource allocation, and budget, as well as following the productions through rehearsal and performance periods.
The role involves close collaboration with artistic teams, manufacturing technical departments, production departments, and technical staff, where you act as a clear link between the various parts of the organization.
The position also includes performance technical work. You work practically as a theater technician with tasks such as building and dismantling scenery, rigging, and working with sound and lighting technology. The work takes place at Ung Scen Öst's venues in Linköping, at guest performance venues in Norrköping, and in connection with touring activities.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is experienced and responsible, with extensive technical competence and good collaboration skills. You are meticulous, structured, and have a strong sense of responsibility. The ability to work under pressure and handle complex technical challenges is crucial. Great emphasis will be placed on leadership, collaboration skills, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in theater technology or equivalent work experience
- Experience in technical coordination or leading technical work within performing arts
- Very good theater technical knowledge
- Experience in planning, resource allocation, and coordination of technical teams
- Good computer skills and administrative abilities
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
- Good English in speech and writing
- Driver's license (B)
- Lift certificate and forklift license are advantageous
Additional Information
Employment type: Permanent, 6-month probationary period
Extent: 100%. The position includes some evening and weekend work
Start date: March 15, 2026, or as agreed
Location: Linköping
