Do you want to contribute to developing early interventions to reduce the risk of mental health issues in children and adolescents?

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the work in primary care.

We offer

The Centre for Epidemiology and Community Medicine (CES) is part of Region Stockholm. We are tasked with developing public health interventions to contribute to good and equitable health in the population. We engage in everything from data collection and analysis to active support in implementing health-promoting measures in various operations. CES is part of the Research, Education, and Development (FoUU) area and has about 90 employees. The Mental Health Unit at CES has 12 employees who are psychologists, doctors, epidemiologists, or statisticians. With us, you work closely with academia, particularly Karolinska Institutet, and our premises are located at Torsplan in Stockholm.

In the psychosocial team at Gustavsberg Health Centre (GVC), there are currently 15 psychologists, 2 social workers, and 2 PTP psychologists working to provide and develop primary care psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults. Gustavsberg Health Centre has been a leader in developing work related to mental health in primary care for many years and continuously works on development issues. The Hamnen clinic is a collaboration between Gustavsberg Health Centre and Värmdö Municipality. Currently, three psychologists, two PTP psychologists, and four social workers work at the clinic. Hamnen works with children and adolescents aged 6-17 years and their families as part of the expanded services for children and youth in primary care.

About the position

The position involves a shared role where 50 percent of the work takes place at the Mental Health Unit, CES, and 50 percent at Hamnen, Gustavsberg Health Centre.

The work at the Mental Health Unit primarily involves participating in development projects within what is called the first line for mental health issues. The projects focus on adapting and implementing evidence-based interventions in primary care psychiatry for children and adolescents.

Your tasks at Hamnen will primarily involve clinical work with children, adolescents, and families. Clinical work includes assessments using validated instruments, assessment of care levels, referrals, psychoeducational work, CBT individually or in groups, as well as careful follow-up and evaluation of treatment contacts. As a staff member at Hamnen, you will also participate in the ongoing development work that the operation conducts.

About you

To qualify for the position, you must be a graduated psychologist with a CBT focus. It is advantageous if you have experience working with children, adolescents, and parents, as well as experience in teaching or leading groups in other ways. We would also like you to have an interest in research and development.

We are looking for someone who is interested in working clinically and enjoys collaborating in a team, but at the same time likes and is capable of working independently on development work. You should be interested in primary care's work with mental health issues. You need to be communicative and willing to collaborate with other professional groups and other operations.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment form:

The position is a fixed-term employment for 12 months, starting from the date of employment.
