Do you want to help educate the maintenance technicians of the future? Kunskapsgruppen Yrkeshögskola is looking for an engaged and knowledgeable maintenance technician who wants to teach in an exciting and forward-looking program.
About the program
The Maintenance Technician program is a two-year YH program that provides students with a deep understanding of modern industrial maintenance. The focus is on maintenance for Industry 4.0, with smart sensors, data collection, real-time analysis, and predictive methods. Additionally, the program includes mechanics, electricity, maintenance planning, and safety. The education is closely linked to the industry, meaning we work in line with technological developments and industry needs. The program is conducted remotely with physical meetings in Gothenburg.
About the role
As a teacher with us, you will play a crucial role in shaping a cutting-edge education. We do not just want to meet industry needs – we want to be one step ahead. You will have the opportunity to take your own initiatives to ensure that our students receive the best possible education, both theoretically and practically.
You will work in a structured manner to plan and conduct lessons where you share your expertise and create dynamic and inspiring teaching moments. Through close collaboration with industry actors, you will ensure that the education is always current and relevant. Additionally, you will have an important role in the overall educational planning, where your engagement and ideas help shape the program.
You will be part of a team of experienced educational leaders, teachers, and business developers who support the daily work.
In addition to teaching, the role includes certain administrative tasks such as student registration and grading.
Your main responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct teaching in maintenance technology
- Collaborate with industry companies for study visits and workshops
- Guide and support students in their learning process
- Ensure that the education maintains high quality and is industry-relevant
- Contribute to the development of the program
- Register students, manage grading, and some other administration
We are looking for someone who:
- Wants to contribute to creating a cutting-edge education
- Has solid experience in maintenance technology and production technology
- Enjoys teaching and has good pedagogical skills
- Has a good ability to build connections and collaborate
- Has very good computer skills including Office365
- Is structured and enjoys combining teaching with administrative tasks
- Has good communication skills and masters Swedish very well in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Experience in teaching within YH, corporate training, or similar educational forms
