Job Description - Transport Worker

As a transport worker in Internal Logistics at Sahlgrenska Hospital, you will meet many new people in a job where a lot happens. The work mainly involves transporting goods, food, mail, textiles, and waste within the hospital. You will be offered variety and development as we also assist with other services that make it easy for healthcare to focus on its core activities.

The working hours for the position are Monday to Friday 06:30-15:30 or 09:30-18:30 and weekends 08:00-18:30. The times may vary.

To succeed in the role of transport worker, you need to:

• be social and helpful
• work well with others
• enjoy adapting to what is happening
• be responsible and organized

You have a high school education or are currently in your final year of high school, as you need to be 18 years old to work with us. You communicate well in Swedish as you will have dialogue with customers and colleagues and follow written and verbal work instructions. If you have learned Swedish through SFI, you need to have completed at least SFI course D, plus have experience practicing the Swedish language, for example through an internship.

Your IT skills are basic; you can use a smartphone, email, and search for information online. You will be walking and standing a large part of your working day. A B driver's license is required.

A forklift license and previous experience in similar tasks, warehouse work, or other service work are advantageous.

Internal Logistics is an area within the Supply Management that is responsible for the hospital's internal distribution of textiles, mail, goods, pharmaceuticals, and consumables.
