SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We provide differentiated and high-quality school, care, and treatment work involving a range of professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, and nurses. We accept both compulsory and non-compulsory school-age boys and girls with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse.

Job Description

As a janitor with us, you will work within a broad area with varied tasks. You will handle fault reports, transport/goods handling, waste management, vehicle maintenance, and be part of the fire safety organization. Heavy lifting occurs daily. You will serve as a contact person and guide for craftsmen and maintain close cooperation with the property owner. Additional tasks may include snow removal, lawn mowing, and minor repairs and maintenance of premises and furniture.

You contribute to smooth daily operations and maintain a high standard at the workplace through practical and service-oriented efforts. The work takes place in various environments and requires you to be unpretentious, flexible, and solution-oriented. Since you will interact with young people in your daily work, personal suitability is considered a central part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is social, responsible, and structured. You have a good ability to identify what needs to be done, prioritize correctly, and drive the work forward independently. You are orderly, meticulous, and have a natural sense of structure. For you, order and tidiness are a given, and you understand the importance of janitorial functions operating smoothly, efficiently, and with high quality in the daily flow.

Good IT skills are an asset. We require relevant upper secondary education and experience from a similar role or another service profession.

You must also have:

• Class B driver's license
• Certificate for wheel loader operation
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing
