Electrician – Commissioning

📍 Stord, Norway

We are now looking for experienced electricians with commissioning experience for rotational work in Norway.

The assignment starts onshore in Stord, where you will work with commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical systems prior to commissioning.

For the right candidates, there is also the opportunity to follow the project offshore after the initial onshore period.

This is a unique opportunity to work on an international project within the oil, gas, and energy sector, while working according to an attractive rotation schedule with longer continuous time off of 14 days on – 21 days off.

The work takes place in Stord, Norway, on an onshore project.

The rig/systems are tested, verified, and prepared for operation, which means that the work is done on land in a safe industrial environment during the initial phase.

After the onshore phase, there is the opportunity to continue the project offshore.

As an electrician in commissioning, you will work with commissioning and testing of electrical systems, including:

• Pre-commissioning and system checks
• Testing and verification of electrical installations
• Troubleshooting and corrective actions for technical deviations
• Insulation measurement (megger), grounding checks, and continuity tests
• Loop checks and functional tests
• Verification of signals between equipment and control systems
• Documentation and reporting of tests and results

You will work closely with the instrumentation, automation, and mechanical teams to ensure that the systems function correctly prior to commissioning.

You will receive a complete setup where everything practical is arranged:

• Accommodation included – private room with shower and toilet

• Electrician education with certification, ECY or equivalent
• Valid DSB authorization (requirement for work in Norway)
• At least 3 years of experience as an electrician
• Experience in commissioning, testing, or troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Experience from commissioning, industrial, energy, or offshore projects is an advantage

English, spoken and written
