Job Description – Transport Worker

As a transport worker at Material in Healthcare (MiV) at Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg, you will meet many new people in a dynamic work environment. You will be responsible for supplying healthcare departments with consumables and will have close contact with colleagues, customers, and suppliers. The tasks are varied and include:

• Ordering, receiving, and unpacking materials
• Restocking consumables and textiles at customer locations
• Reporting and following up on delivery discrepancies and troubleshooting deliveries via phone contact with our suppliers

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:45.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have a high school education or are currently enrolled in high school and graduating this year. You communicate fluently in Swedish and can easily engage in dialogue with customers and colleagues, as well as follow written and verbal instructions. You have good IT skills and a physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods during the workday. Since the position requires good teamwork skills and a sense of service, it is important that you:

• Build good relationships with customers and colleagues through a positive attitude
• Take responsibility by being thorough and loyal to your tasks
• Show interest, willingness, and commitment to performing well

Previous experience in service and/or warehouse operations is an advantage. A forklift license D and a B driver's license (manual transmission) may also be beneficial. You must be at least 18 years old to work with us.

Our Offer

Internal logistics is a department within the Supply Management that is responsible for the internal distribution of textiles, mail, goods, pharmaceuticals, and consumables within the hospital.
