Seasonal Staff for Family-Friendly Apartment Hotel in Visby City Center

We are now looking for staff for our apartment hotel in Visby city center for the season 2026, May–September. As part of our small team, you will play an important role in maintaining our high customer ratings through personal interaction with both our hotel guests and the tourists visiting our lobby to purchase souvenirs from their visit to the city.

About us, we are a small family-run hotel with nine apartments in the heart of the city. Our focus is on creating a well-managed and homely environment where guests feel at home.

We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied job where social interaction and sales in the lobby are combined with the practical work of maintaining our hotel to create the best guest experience.

About the Role

As a hotel employee with us, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests feel welcome and that the hotel maintains the highest quality in all areas. The job is a combined role that means you will work both in the lobby and with practical tasks in the hotel:

• Hotel Operations/Cleaning: Here, you are responsible for ensuring that our nine apartments are well-cleaned, inviting, and ready for new guests. An important part is also to ensure that our courtyard is always in good condition; other tasks may include handling laundry and restocking supplies.
• Service & Sales: The lobby is the hotel's face to the outside world. Your main task here is to sell our souvenirs and selected products, as well as to promote the hotel to visitors. You will also be available to provide personal service to our hotel guests when they visit the lobby.

Working Hours and Scope

The employment is a need-based position that runs from the beginning of May to the end of September. The weekly working hours vary depending on occupancy and visitor pressure, but we estimate that it corresponds to a part-time position overall. It is most intense during the peak season in July and August.

As we are a small and personal business, we adapt the work according to needs, which means that the length and nature of shifts vary – some days require a longer effort while other shifts are shorter.

• Working Hours: Shifts are usually scheduled between 09:30 AM – 06:30 PM.
• Working Days: Shifts are distributed over both weekdays and weekends based on the needs of the business. Shifts are usually never longer than 5 hours.
• No Night Shifts: All work is performed during daytime and evening hours.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role with a lot of personal responsibility and has a natural sense of service and quality. Since we are a small team, your attitude and ability to see what needs to be done are important qualities. Experience in hotels or other service professions is a plus.

• Have an eye for detail and notice the small things that contribute to making guests and visitors feel welcome and comfortable with us. You are meticulous in what you do and actively contribute to a pleasant atmosphere in the lobby, in the apartments, out in the courtyard, and in the workplace.
• Enjoy meeting people, whether it’s greeting guests at the apartments, selling our souvenirs in the lobby, or informing visitors about our accommodations.
• Are flexible and self-driven: You enjoy varied shifts and take the initiative to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the hotel run smoothly.
• Communicate in both Swedish and English, which is necessary as we have guests and visitors from many different countries.

Requirements for the Position

• You have arranged accommodation: Since we cannot offer staff housing, you need to already live or arrange accommodation in or near Visby during your employment. We will not handle applications from candidates who do not have accommodation in or near Visby.
• You are available for the entire period: We are looking for someone who can work throughout the season, from May to September. We aim for our employees to have 2 days off per week.
