IT Management Leaders Wanted

We are currently seeking two IT management leaders who want to take overall responsibility for the technical management of our systems and platforms – while also contributing to the agency's long-term digital development.

As an IT management leader, you will belong to the Department of Digitalization and IT, where you will collaborate with colleagues with various IT competencies. IMY is currently undergoing a digital transformation journey, so you will have significant authority and the ability to influence the digital journey that IMY has ahead of it.

Job Responsibilities

As an IT management leader, you will be responsible for the technical management of our IT services, such as web platforms, digital communication and collaboration spaces, AI support, and other IT objects. You will ensure that these meet the organization's requirements for quality, stability, and availability. Our environment is currently based on on-prem solutions that are outsourced to an IT provider.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating efforts related to technical management such as lifecycle management, developing test plans, test cases, and testing new features during upgrades. You will handle incidents and be responsible for system documentation and compliance with architectural principles, guidelines, and standards.
  • Participating in the procurement of systems and new services, as well as managing contracts and collaborating with suppliers.
  • Ensuring that systems meet information security and data protection requirements.
  • Participating in change and development initiatives in the area, e.g., leading workshops, acting as project leader, and contributing to the development of management models, working methods, and processes.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience in the field that we assess as comparable.
  • Several years of experience working with technical system management in complex IT environments and a good understanding of IT architecture, integrations, and technical platforms.
  • Experience collaborating systematically with suppliers and has experience as a requirements setter.
  • Experience with established management or project models.
  • Knowledge of information security, continuity, and risk management.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have experience in procurement and requirements setting according to LOU, as well as experience in similar work within the public sector. Experience with agile working methods is also a plus.

Your Personal Qualities

As a person, you are development-oriented and drive your tasks forward independently and proactively. You have a systematic approach and take responsibility for your work area, creating an overview of what needs to be handled. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are flexible, unpretentious, and collaborate attentively and accommodatingly both internally and externally. You have a good ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and can explain technical formulas in a pedagogical way in collaboration.

To succeed in this role, you have a good ability to understand different perspectives, can quickly find the core of complex information, and make the right decisions based on that, delivering quality even under high workload.

As a representative of the agency, you are trustworthy, have great personal maturity, and possess good security awareness.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The Position

The positions are permanent full-time positions. IMY applies a six-month probationary period for all positions. You will report to the department head who is part of one of the agency's management groups. The work is based in our pleasant activity-based premises in central Stockholm, with the possibility of individual agreements on hybrid work.

The position is classified in a security class, which means that Swedish citizenship is required for this position. A security review with a background check will be conducted before we make a hiring decision.
