Social Welfare Officer Needed at Vård och Omsorg in Vellinge Municipality

The Vård och Omsorg authority in Vellinge Municipality is now seeking an engaged and flexible social welfare officer according to SoL for a summer substitute position in the unit.

The authority consists of a chief social welfare officer and eight social welfare officers with different areas of responsibility, including applications from ordinary housing, coordination during discharge/short-term stays, and transport services. Additionally, there are three LSS officers, fee officers/care and relative guides, and housing coordinators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your task is to investigate, make decisions, and follow up on interventions, as well as to be responsible for information and collaboration during the ongoing investigation according to the Social Services Act. This may involve home care, day activities, respite care, or special housing (focused on dementia or somatic care). The work is based on a holistic perspective around the individual and their needs, often in collaboration with relatives, care providers, health care, other authorities, and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

The role of a social welfare officer involves meetings with many different people, and therefore there are demands for social skills, being attentive, and interested in creating good meetings. You enjoy meeting people, have a positive outlook, and possess good collaboration skills with your own drive. To succeed in this, the ability to create clarity and trust is needed.

In interactions with our residents and their relatives, a dignified approach and a warm interest in working with people are very important. The work also requires independence, flexibility, responsibility, and a good ability to communicate clearly and trustworthily, both verbally and in writing.

We are looking for someone studying to become a social worker who has completed 30 credits in law, or someone who has a degree in social work, a degree from a social care program, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You have good knowledge of relevant legislation and applicable case law in the area. Experience in public authority operations according to SoL is an advantage.

Good IT skills are important, and you will work in the operational system Life Care.

In addition to formal qualifications, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
