We now have the opportunity to welcome a new occupational therapist colleague to our rehabilitation team, which consists of two occupational therapists, five physiotherapists, two social workers, one psychotherapist, and one psychiatric nurse. We are a work group with good cohesion, open communication, and a lot of laughter. Right now, we will have three occupational therapists on site as we are in a project where we are gathered in one unit but serve patients from two units, VC Centrum and VC Tornet. This is to allow for some specialization but also to utilize our competencies well, for example in group activities with collaboration between our units.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work closely with two experienced colleagues. Together, we create the conditions for the patient to regain or maintain their ability to function in their daily life.

Vårdcentralen Centrum is a healthcare center with about 13,000 patients, making it one of the largest in Skåne. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Occupational therapy assessment and treatment focusing on strengthening patients' activity ability and participation in everyday life, regardless of diagnosis.
• Basic investigation of cognitive impairment in collaboration with doctors.
• Assessment and treatment of patients with hand/forearm problems.
• Mapping patients' balance in everyday activities to change their activity patterns and promote health.
• Testing of assistive devices, such as electric wheelchairs and drive units.
• If you are also interested in taking on the role of rehabilitation coordinator, that opportunity exists.

Patients of all ages with many different diagnoses come to us, which means you will have a varied and developing job. Treatment is provided both individually and in groups. You also have the opportunity to collaborate with other staff categories at the healthcare center regarding the patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement. We would like you to have a few years of experience in the profession, as well as experience in primary care being desirable.

As a person, we see that you are initiative-taking and responsible, as well as engaged and enjoy collaborating in a group, while also having a good ability to work independently. We would like you to have an easy time communicating with others and to be able to adapt quickly when the situation requires it. Furthermore, you have a great interest in rehabilitation medicine.
