A well-known plastic surgery practice in Malmö is expanding and is now looking for an experienced anesthesia nurse to strengthen the team.

The practice performs planned, elective surgery in a highly specialized environment with an experienced multidisciplinary team and two operating rooms.

About the Role

As an anesthesia nurse, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of anesthesia during planned plastic surgery in accordance with applicable prescriptions and guidelines.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with anesthesiologists and the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative assessment and risk evaluation
• Planning and implementation of anesthesia (local, regional, and intravenous sedation/TIVA)
• Intraoperative monitoring of vital parameters
• Airway management and pharmacological optimization
• Postoperative monitoring and pain management
• Documentation according to applicable regulations
• Quality work and compliance with Swedish regulations
• Preparedness to handle acute situations and complications

The work is scheduled during daytime Monday–Friday, with surgeries four days a week.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with Swedish license
• Specialist nursing degree in anesthesia care
• At least two years of clinical experience as an anesthesia nurse
• Experience in surgical practice (experience in plastic surgery or day surgery is an advantage)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
