Welcome to District Veterinarians Kristianstad!

Our clinic is located in Vä, a few kilometers southwest of Kristianstad. Currently, we have a team of 13 veterinarians, 2 licensed veterinary nurses, and 4 animal caretakers. In the spring of 2017, we moved to our newly built clinic, which is designed according to the flow for both patients, pet owners, and staff. We are well-equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, dental unit, blood analysis, and an operating room. We have a well-visited pet food store where we also sell various supplements, shampoos, and aids for both small animals and horses. We are a cheerful group with a strong sense of community. We value good camaraderie and see it, along with our competence and service, as our strengths.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will work as an animal caretaker at level 3 in our small animal clinic, staffed by several veterinarians from Monday to Friday. You will primarily work clinically, both independently and together with a veterinarian or another colleague. Anesthesia is a significant part of the work with patients in both dental and surgical procedures. Job responsibilities may also include staffing the reception, answering phone calls with advice and appointment scheduling, feeding advice, and sales. Other clinic tasks such as hygiene, instrument and facility maintenance, as well as administrative tasks are included in the daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an animal caretaker at level 3 with previous experience from working in a small animal clinic and knowledge in anesthesia and radiology. It is an advantage if you have experience working with both surgical and dental patients. As a person, you are communicative, engaged, and a team player. You enjoy working alongside your colleagues and are attentive to both them and our clients. You have the ability to prioritize and plan your work to create a good flow in your workday.

We place great importance on personal suitability, social competence, and communication skills, and we are looking for a colleague who values good collaboration and contributes to a team spirit. Previous knowledge such as anesthesia, radiology, dentistry, sampling, and feeding advice is considered an advantage.
