About the workplace

Åbräddens nursing home is one of the larger nursing homes in Helsingborg with 81 apartments spread over three floors. The residence is located in Råå with beautiful surroundings and close to the sea. We are proudly star-rated, which means that all employees are trained in how to meet tenants with cognitive impairments.

Job responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you will provide individual care and service to the tenants in a way that makes each individual feel unique and involved. Your duties include performing health and medical tasks according to instructions and delegation, and you take an active part in the overall care required for the tenants to achieve good quality of life based on their individual circumstances. 

You will meet people with various illnesses and disabilities, and the work involves creating security for both tenants and relatives. We support by providing help and assistance with personal hygiene, meal situations, as well as social activities and outdoor outings. 

Other tasks include being a contact person for one or more tenants, documentation according to current legislation, and areas of responsibility where you should work particularly actively within your responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and passionate about elderly care. To succeed in this role, it is important that you have basic computer skills, experience with documentation, are comfortable working with digital tools, and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have experience working with people with cognitive diseases.

It is an advantage if you have experience performing delegated health and medical services as well as experience working with BPSD registration and actions regarding BPSD symptoms.
