The Geriatric Department is an inpatient unit with 24 acute care beds. The department focuses on acute geriatric and orthopedic care as well as rehabilitation. Here we work with the multimorbid elderly using a person-centered approach, where the varying disease picture of our patients provides a broad knowledge base for you as a nurse.

We work in interdisciplinary teams where you, as a nurse, together with nursing assistants and other professionals, form the foundation of the care work at night. The close teamwork between all professional groups is crucial for the patient to receive the best possible care. Our focus is on patient participation and person-centered care, as well as close collaboration with the municipality and primary care before discharge to ensure continued good care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome you who, together with colleagues from other professions, want to provide the best possible care to our patients.

In your role as a nurse, you will be responsible for basic and medical care, as well as risk assessment and preventive measures for the patients. Documentation is done in Melior and Mina planer.

The position involves night shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. We also prefer that you have experience working in elderly care and/or acute care. Additionally, it is advantageous if you have a specialist education in elderly care.
