At the Brain Stimulation Unit in Lund, we primarily conduct treatments using electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). We work systematically and evidence-based for the benefit of our patients.

With us, there is room for care and making patients and their relatives feel safe and well-informed. We have close collaboration with other specialists, mainly anesthesiologists but also neuroradiologists, neurologists, and internists. We are located in newly renovated and purpose-built facilities at the psychiatric hospital on Baravägen in Lund. The Brain Stimulation Unit treats patients from the entire operational area. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you are welcomed to a job that is exciting and dynamic, both in terms of technology and research, but also with a high degree of care.

To ensure you feel secure in your role, you will receive training in the various treatment methods and assessment tools. You will learn to use different tools for assessing patients with depression, melancholia, mania, catatonia, and other disorders, such as severe OCD. This is done in close collaboration with responsible physicians and aims for you as a nurse to be involved in all aspects of care and contribute your specific expertise.

You will work in a research and development-intensive unit, which means using new treatments and techniques. The use of the r-TMS treatment method requires knowledge of neuroanatomy, new software, and some dexterity. Training and continuous education in this method are included in the job.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and experience in psychiatric or somatic care. If you have further education as a psychiatric nurse, this is an advantage. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement. You have good computer skills, and we prefer that you have experience working with the journal management system Melior.
