About the assignment

At Novare, we are a proud and approved supplier of the public framework agreement in Sweden. We are now looking for an accounting economist for the National Audit Office in Stockholm.

As an accounting economist at the authority, you will work with accounting, bookkeeping, monthly closings, and reconciliations. You will be an important part of the daily work, and together with your colleagues, you will work towards set goals.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is attentive, meticulous, and responsible. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have a good sense of service.

Examples of overall tasks:

• Work in U4 Agresso
• Work with accounting and bookkeeping
• General ledger, cash and bank reconciliations
• Work with reconciliations, declarations, troubleshooting, and controls
• Work with monthly closings.

Requirements for the position

• University degree in economics or equivalent education (e.g., vocational college)
• At least five (5) years of work experience from similar work
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Good knowledge of the relevant accounting system U4 Agresso
• Experience in public accounting
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious requirements for the position

• At least one and a half (1.5) years of work experience in similar work at a public authority
• Ability to provide a reference for a similar assignment.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time with an estimated start date of 2026-03-09 and runs until 2026-08-31, with the possibility of extension. The place of work is at the authority in Stockholm, with some possibility for remote work.
