Within the Lung and Allergy section, there are outpatient care, day care, wards, and a respiratory unit. Here you will work closely with a colleague and with a team of unit managers, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and many other pleasant colleagues.

Our medical secretaries work within our areas of expertise inf/skin/lung/rheumatology and are part of a dedicated unit with 8 medical secretaries, one administrator, and one manager.

As a medical secretary/healthcare administrator, you will have a varied job with a competent and dedicated mentor who helps you get started. As a student in medical secretary/healthcare administration, you can already work alongside your studies by agreement.

We are looking for

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary/healthcare administrator but also someone who is studying in their final year to become a medical secretary and is interested in working with lung care at Sunderby Hospital.

You have good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have training in diagnosis classification, M365, and knowledge of Teams, Cosmic, VAS, and iHSAk. We place great importance on your personal qualities. You are a structured and solution-oriented person with excellent collaboration skills. Your flexibility allows you to quickly adapt to new conditions and changing situations.

This is what you will work with

As a medical secretary/healthcare administrator, you are a key player in the care chain, both to maintain patient safety regarding journal documentation and administration, but your workday can include many different types of tasks, including:

Journal documentation with associated diagnosis coding and subsequent registrations, referrals, mail handling, scanning, invoicing, systematic development work, and much more.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position, and as a student, you will be offered a permanent position as a healthcare administrator after completing your studies. Start date by agreement.  Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
