Närhälsan Björkekärr Health Center has been around since 1992 and is located in a quiet part of the city, 10 minutes from central Gothenburg. Today, we have over 9,350 patients registered with us.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide field and cover the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treating in primary care, both via phone, home visits, at the clinic, and in digital care meetings such as 1177 and chat.

The work takes place through both acute and planned activities. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, but also together with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, therefore, supervision of students is also included as part of your role at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse, and it is advantageous if you have further training in Asthma/COPD of at least 15 university credits. There is also a possibility for training in asthma/COPD if interested. Previous experience in primary care is also advantageous, but we welcome you who are newer to the profession.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We hope you have an interest in digitization and operational development.

About the recruitment process

The selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call relevant candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
