About us

Närakuten Östra sjukhuset has been operational since November 2017 and was started to provide an alternative for patients who have sought or been referred to the children's or adult emergency department, Östra sjukhuset but do not need the full resources of the hospital.

The mission includes running a clinic for acute care with primary care competence located on the hospital grounds, Östra sjukhuset. We receive orthopedic, surgical, and medical patients from both the children's and adult sides.

Närakuten is open from 8 AM to 10 PM every day of the year.

We are a team consisting of a total of 30 employees who have a good climate. We focus heavily on professional development, including training for our nurses to strengthen them in their roles and enable them to independently assess patients. The unit is small, and the professional groups work closely together, which also leads to increased competence in several areas.

About the job

Your tasks at Närakuten span a broad field of work and cover the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. At Närakuten, the tasks are varied, and the patient is the focus. The work consists, among other things, of triaging, examining patients, and assisting doctors with various procedures. As a lead nurse, you are the spider in the web and ensure that the work flows smoothly. Once you feel secure in your role at Närakuten, you can take the next step towards becoming a treatment nurse through internal training and supervision, where you will have the opportunity to make your own assessments and thus develop in your role.

You will work both independently and in a team with other staff categories at Närakuten. We use the Asynja Visph journal system.

About you

You are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience from primary care, hospital wards, or emergency care. However, we also welcome you as a recent graduate.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts.

The position is a temporary contract for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

About the recruitment process

The selection process takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department, who call candidates for a phone interview. The recruiting manager then makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
