Your workplace

The Medical Clinic in Karlstad includes specialties in pulmonology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, hematology, rheumatology, and geriatrics. The cardiology and nephrology clinics operate as separate entities. We are also in the process of establishing a new internal medicine department. Your tasks

You will receive a broad and qualitative internal medicine education covering the entire spectrum of internal medicine. As a resident, you will have a varied schedule that includes ward work, on-call duties, outpatient care, and rotations. You will create a clear individual residency plan tailored to your goals and the needs of the clinic.

In addition to the specialty-specific program, you will participate in Region Värmland's appreciated internal courses (Ethics, Law, and Leadership), a training that provides you with tools to grow both professionally and personally.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for someone who has:

• Swedish medical license with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare by the time of employment.
• Interest in specializing in internal medicine.
• Good collaboration skills and a solution-oriented approach.
• Good knowledge of Swedish at least at C1 level.

A doctoral degree and active research are meritorious but not required.

As a person, you have good personal maturity and are secure in yourself, which allows you to handle different situations with judgment and respect. You are flexible and enjoy that everyday conditions can change quickly. Collaboration is a natural part of your work style, and you contribute to a positive work environment. Through your empathetic ability, you meet colleagues and patients in a responsive manner while working in a structured and organized way.
