Description

The Harbor and Local Unit in Lysekil Municipality is looking for harbor hosts for the summer season of 2026, who want to help make Lysekil the best guest harbor in Northern Bohuslän.

Lysekil Municipality currently manages about 375 guest harbor spots distributed across 5 harbors and about 120 spots for motorhomes distributed across 3 parking areas. The high season is intense but fun, and a steady stream of visitors comes daily to our facilities.

In the role of harbor host, it is your task to make our visitors feel welcome in Lysekil, and providing first-class service and reception is our top priority. Hospitality and accessibility are guiding principles we work by. This requires an outgoing attitude and initiative, but we hope that contact with people will give you much in return so that you also enjoy your job.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador and a welcoming representative in our harbors and at our parking areas.
• Provide tips and information about attractions, local events, and more.
• Check that boats are properly moored and motorhomes are correctly parked.
• You should also inform about the payment routine and ensure that those using the harbor pay and follow our guest harbor rules.
• Ensure that safety in the harbor and at the parking areas is maintained regarding fire, lifesaving, and electricity.
• Check service facilities several times a day to provide the best possible stay for our guests.
• Cleaning of service facilities may also occur. If necessary, clean and pick up litter in the facilities and harbor area.
• Report faults and deficiencies in our facilities to the Guest Harbor Captain.
• Answer incoming phone calls to the guest harbor and contact boat owners as needed.

Qualifications

You are strongly service-oriented, responsible, self-driven, and have an eye for what needs to be done. You should have good communication skills, and it is important that you can express yourself well in Swedish and English, as well as being easy to collaborate with. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Experience with boating is not a requirement but may be advantageous.

Conditions

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be able to swim.
• The work is located in the areas of Lysekil and/or Grundsund within Lysekil Municipality.
• Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.
