We at Humana are now looking for four personal assistants for two clients in Gotland (Stånga) who want to work as summer substitutes in the summer of 2026. About the position

In the role of personal assistant, you will work with one of our clients and provide support in daily life based on their individual needs. Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons), where each client is unique and the tasks vary.

The work may include assistance with transfers, personal care, training, communication, as well as daily chores and activities inside and outside the home. You will respect the client's self-determination and privacy and contribute to a safe and smooth everyday life.

At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the client feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, all new assistants receive a tailored introduction, both to the professional role and to the client you will be working with.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• Wants to work with a 53-year-old man or a 19-year-old boy, both residing in Stånga, Gotland.

• Has good knowledge of Swedish, as communication is an important part of the job.

• Is physically fit, as the work involves transfers and some heavy lifting.

• Has a B driver's license (automatic transmission car is sufficient).

• Has access to a personal car, as public transport is lacking for both clients.

• Is tolerant of pets, as there are both a cat and a dog in the homes.

It is also meritorious if you:

• Have experience working as a personal assistant.

• Have experience in similar work within healthcare and social care.

• Are a calm, secure, and flexible person who can adapt to different needs and situations.

Working hours, employment rate, and employment period

The positions are summer substitutes with an employment rate of about 80–100%, depending on the schedule and agreement.

Employment period: June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026.

Working hours vary and may include day, evening, and overnight shifts, weekdays, and weekends.

We are looking for a total of four summer substitutes for two different assignments:

• Assignment 1: At least two assistants who can work during the day and evening.

• Assignment 2: Two assistants who can work overnight shifts. The overnight shifts include 7 hours of on-call duty during the night.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation according to collective agreements.

Start date

There may be an opportunity to start earlier and work as a substitute before the summer substitute position begins. Please indicate in your application if this is of interest to you and when you would be able to start.

Otherwise, the start date for the summer substitute position will be according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
