Solbergaskolan

Solbergaskolan is a workplace with approximately 630 students and about 90 staff members.

The school includes grades 7-9, preparatory groups for newly arrived students in grades 7-9, a co-teaching class 7-9, special education groups for students with specific needs, as well as a resource school for speech and language from grades 4-9, a staffed school library, and currently six employed social pedagogues. The school is locally integrated with adapted primary school and the mother tongue unit.

Your Responsibilities

The responsibilities for you as a social pedagogue at Solbergaskolan consist of working preventively and promoting a safe school environment for the students. Your most important task is to build good relationships, which you do through conversations and activities with the students. You will be part of a team of social pedagogues who plan and follow up on the operations. You will have close contact with guardians when needed, investigate cases of bullying, and work with group-strengthening activities.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a social pedagogue education.

You are curious and interested in young people. You find it easy to build relationships and have a personal maturity that makes you a safe adult. You are proactive and come up with activities for and with the students. Since you will be responsible for safety work, it is an advantage if you feel comfortable with conflict management and have experience with methods such as motivational interviewing. You should be easy to collaborate with, unpretentious, and caring.

About the Education and Labor Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we contribute in the Education and Labor Administration to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults. We are responsible for, among other things, preschools, primary schools, after-school care, adapted primary and secondary schools, cultural schools, high school and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, as well as the reception and establishment of newly arrived individuals. Together, we provide opportunities for lifelong learning.
