About the position

We are now looking for more people who want a rewarding, meaningful job where you can truly make a difference! Do you have experience working as a personal assistant/in care and support and want a long-term job? Then you have found the right place!

The assignment concerns a man in his 60s living in Hangvar with a diagnosis of ALS. The client lives with his wife. There are a dog and a cat in the home, so you should not be allergic.

The client requires assistance around the clock, and the working hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, 6 PM to 10:30 PM, and 10 PM to 8:30 AM (awake night). We are looking for someone who is flexible and can work various hours, including weekends.

You will start with a temporary employment, but there are good chances of getting a permanent schedule in the long run if the chemistry matches between you and the client. You should be able to start immediately!

You will always begin with an introductory session together with experienced staff. You will also need to undergo training for a ventilator during working hours.

As a personal assistant, you provide individually tailored support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the client's home and in other environments where the client spends time. The tasks vary based on the client's needs and may include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment during activities and errands.

There is also the possibility to work with multiple clients in different locations around Gotland.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working as a personal assistant (experience is required)
• Has experience or knowledge of ALS, which is an advantage
• Is responsible, attentive, and has a professional attitude
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
• Is not allergic to pets
• Has the ability to work flexible hours

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and respect for the client's autonomy and integrity.

Employment conditions

• Employment conditions according to collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage according to agreement

• A valid license must be presented before the contract is signed
• A police record extract (for children with disabilities) must be presented before employment
