Care for People with Disabilities Visby

In the care for people with disabilities, we work to create security, participation, and independence.

We offer individually tailored support that strengthens each person's ability to live as independently as possible. The main focus is on support for individuals with decisions according to LSS, but we can also provide support according to SoL.

We are in an exciting development phase after a major reorganization. It has at times been an intense period – but also developing, educational, and filled with new opportunities. Now we are building further together and are looking for someone who wants to contribute with engagement, new perspectives, and drive in our continued improvement work.

Our mobile teams in Visby consist of experienced and competent employees with broad knowledge and long experience in the field. Here, there are good opportunities to develop, learn from each other, and contribute your own perspectives in daily work.

We are now looking for two new employees – one for Mobile Team 1 and one for Mobile Team 2 in Visby.

Your Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you will among other things:

  • Work together with colleagues to support users towards increased independence and participation in society
  • Use a motivating and activating approach in daily work to strengthen users' own resources and initiative
  • Provide individually tailored support based on each person's unique needs
  • Work with a pedagogical approach in daily support
  • Protect users' self-determination and integrity in their own homes
  • Work according to the IBIC method (Individual's Needs in Center)
  • Have case management, which means establishing and following up on implementation plans, maintaining ongoing contact with relatives and other actors, coordinating efforts according to LSS, and collaborating on efforts according to HSL.
  • Collaborate and support colleagues in both Mobile Team 1 and Mobile Team 2 as needed
  • Work according to a basic schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts (every other weekend)

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who has a completed upper secondary education with a focus on care and social services, child and leisure, social pedagogy, or personal assistance. A B driver's license for manual transmission is required, as well as the ability to cycle for work.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience working in care for people with disabilities. If you also have experience dealing with challenging behaviors and working with low-arousal responses, we see it as a positive.

As a person, you are stable and secure in your professional role. You have good pedagogical insight and understand the importance of adapting your approach based on the individual's needs. At the same time, you are positive, energetic, and contribute to a good work climate. You find it easy to create and develop relationships – both with users, relatives, and colleagues – and you want to help drive the organization forward.

You are structured and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and work methodically. In an organization that has recently undergone a reorganization, it is important that you feel secure in working with and following new routines, while also contributing to keeping them alive in daily work. Your structure is also evident in your documentation, where you work carefully and legally.

It is important that you are confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish.

Before an employment offer, the applicant must present two valid extracts from the Police Authority: "Control of Own Data" and an extract from the "Suspect Register". Extracts from the suspect register can be ordered from March 1, 2026.

Warm welcome with your application!
