The overall mission of the Pharmaceutical Unit is to promote rational, safe, and cost-effective use of medications and optimal medication management throughout the healthcare chain. The mission includes clinical pharmacy in primary and inpatient care, work with the drug committee, patient safety work, and practical hospital pharmacy services, such as medication service, production of inpatient doses, ward pharmacy, and manufacturing of cytostatics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The distribution of tasks is primarily determined by the needs of the operation but, of course, also by your interests and experiences. The majority of your tasks will involve daily collaboration with doctors, nurses, other healthcare staff, and patients, and you will have the support of your colleagues in the Pharmaceutical Unit. Your role will also include occasionally supporting medication services. In our operations at Bollnäs Hospital, you will have a pharmacist colleague working with medication services and ward pharmacy. In your clinical work, you will collaborate and receive good support from our clinical pharmacists in other parts of the county.

As a clinical pharmacist with us, you will primarily work with medication reviews in inpatient care, but other tasks may also be included in your assignment, such as:

• quality work
• patient safety work
• medication training.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you easily adapt to new circumstances, take initiative, and can prioritize in your assignment. You see development opportunities and are driven by being a support for healthcare personnel and the opportunity to improve medication use for patients, and you have good communication and collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and previous experiences.

In the role of clinical pharmacist, you should:

• be a licensed pharmacist or licensed pharmacy technician with a master's degree in pharmacy
• have a master's degree in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience working with clinical pharmacy
• have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
