We are looking for a nurse to our lung department

The lung department is part of the internal medicine area and has 20 patient beds. We offer acute and planned specialist care for the entire Gävleborg region. With us, you will be part of a competent team where it is easy to thrive and develop.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the department, patients with lung diseases are cared for and investigated, with the largest patient groups being lung cancer and COPD, as well as other conditions and diseases that lead to respiratory failure. We also accept general medicine patients as space allows. In your work, you will have close collaboration with the responsible nursing assistant and doctor in your care team, and you will also collaborate with other support functions in the department such as coordinators, care planners, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

As a nurse with us, you will work with:

  • arterial blood gases
  • inhalations
  • pleural drainage
  • palliative care
  • ventilators.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, can communicate well, and is attentive to patients and colleagues. Since we provide specialized lung care for acutely and severely ill patients as well as palliative care, we see that you are a flexible person who can relate to and understand others' situations. With us, you will gain both deeper knowledge in lung diseases and broad knowledge in general medicine, as well as a fun and educational workplace where you make a difference.

In the role of nurse, you should:

  • be a licensed nurse with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare
  • be able to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing.

We are looking for both newly graduated candidates and those with a few years of experience; previous experience in lung care is an advantage but not a requirement. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
